  Member Biographies    
    Tony Gimenez, trumpet, has recorded and toured nationally with the Epic Brass and Paramount Brass Quintets. Mr. Gimenez is a graduate of the New England Conservatory where he was a member of the Conservatory Honors Brass Quintet that participated in a musical exchange program with the Moscow Conservatory. Currently freelancing in New England, he has also performed with the Boise Philharmonic Orchestra, the New York Shakespeare Festival, and the Canadian Brass.

Christopher Sala holds degrees in trumpet performance from the Eastman School of Music and Florida State University, where he was a member of the faculty brass quintet for three years. He is winner of several competitions including the1996 International Trumpet Guild Solo Competition, the 1997 National Trumpet Competition, the 1997 ITG Mock Orchestra Competition, and was a semi-finalist in the prestigious Vassily Brandt Trumpet Competition in Saratov, Russia. As a soloist Christopher has appeared with the Eastman Wind Ensemble, the Florida State Wind Symphony, and the Chipola Symphony in Marianna, Florida. Mr. Sala has played with several orchestras, including the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, the Portland, ME Symphony, the Columbus, GA Symphony, and the Tallahassee Symphony. He can be heard on the Florida State Brass Quintet’s release entitled “Strophes of the Night and Dawn” on Crystal Records.

Nathaniel Dickey holds degrees from Oberlin College and Conservatory and Rice University. A versatile and experienced freelance and chamber musician, Mr. Dickey has performed at Carnegie Hall and Tanglewood among other venues throughout the United States. He has appeared with the New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maryland Symphony Orchestras, as well as the Boston Philharmonic and Minnesota Opera, and he cofounded both the Orion Trombone Quartet, winners of the Coleman Chamber Music Competition, and the Brass Mosaic, which performed its New York recital debut at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. Also an accomplished soloist, Mr. Dickey was the euphonium soloist with the Columbia Concert Band and has participated (on trombone) in the Sorantin Award Competition and the "Prestige des Cuivres" Competition. On recordings, he can be heard on the pop/folk release "Please Forward" by Joel Stein (Goldrhyme Records) an upcoming releases by Boston's Big and Phat Jazz Orchestra and the Paramount Brass.

Leader and bass trombonist,
Brian Kay has toured the country and Europe with The King's Brass and the American Waterways Wind Orchestra. Originally from Urbana, Illinois, he holds degrees from New England Conservatory, and the University of Illinois. Mr. Kay currently freelances in Boston and has performed with many of the areas top ensembles including the Handel and Haydn Society, Boston Philharmonic, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Indian Hill Symphony, and Boston Academy. He teaches private lesson studios in Needham, Natick, and the New England Conservatory Preparatory Division. He can be heard on compact disc recordings with the Handel and Haydn Society, King's Brass, and the Dave Rasmussen Jazz Orchestra.

William Manley, Percussionist, currently performs and teaches throughout New England. Mr. Manley holds a BM from the State University of New York at Potsdam and an MM from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. While maintaining a large studio of students, Mr. Manley’s free-lance activity encompasses a wide range of performance settings, from symphony orchestras to dance accompaniment. He has performed and recorded with the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, the Berkshire Opera Company, and the Catskill Klezmorim. Mr. Manley also performs with the Auros Group for New Music, the Rhode Island Philharmonic and the percussion duet, Beat City.
